Welcome to the North Shore Horticultural Society of Massachusetts.
The NSHS was founded in 1899 by the gardeners of the Gold Coast’s big houses, so they could share their horticultural knowledge.
Today, it is an organization made up of professional gardeners, master gardeners, designers, back yard gardeners and novices. At our monthly meeting you can show up in dungarees with wet knees, with dirt under your fingernails, and no one will look askance. Members graciously ask what you've been doing in your garden.
After more than 100 years, we still gather to share knowledge and to learn so we can enjoy gardening even more. It is one of the best deals around, with dues of only $25.
